Coen Verberk lives in Zeist together with his wife and three daughters. As of January 2022, he has joined Engirams as a partner.
Since 2008 Coen has specialized in RAMS studies and the associated methodologies. He has a broad knowlegde base in process safety, operational safety and functional safety and the vital pillars within these types of safety such as technical safety and systematic safety. His solid experience from complex technological projects has built up within the oil and gas, process and railway industry.
From 2015 onwards, Coen has been fully committed to the rail sector. This has resulted in extensive knowledge of the CENELEC 50126/8/9 standards and the safety regulation CSM REA. Besides his role as advisor within mostly engineering teams, Coen has acted as an independent assessor as NoBo, AsBo or ISA.
Due to his involvement as a safety manager for several actors in the railway sector, such as the infrastructure manager ProRail, railway operator NS, or suppliers such as Alstom he has a good understanding of the (safety) importance of the individual stakeholders of the transportation system. His multidisciplinary experience enables him to control hazards on the interface between technology, user, manufacturer and maintainer. And he is able to deep dive in understanding signalling systems such as ERTMS and interlockings. More information to be found via LinkedIn.
